Four Things a Story Can Teach Your Children

Monday’s Parenting Thought
A Story Can Teach Your Children …
  1. How people act – figuring out what works well and doesn’t work well with people is an important part of growing up.
  2. When one thing happens then other things happen too – cause and effect is the beginning of your children being able to follow rules.
  3. The order of things (what happens first, second, third) – helping them to begin to think logically.
  4. There are lots of ways to get information besides electronic “screens” – words on a page, listening, and actively doing things are all good ways to get information.
