When your child is having trouble trying to do something or solve a problem, encourage him to keep at it and find a solution. This might happen as he builds with his blocks, does his homework, or tries to make something work right (toy, TV, computer, etc.)
When he asks you for help, instead of taking over for him, ask him questions that will get him on the right track toward a solution. What does each button do? From looking at the picture what color do you think your puzzle piece might be? Why do you think the blocks fell?
