One way to teach your child about money:

Require your child to divide all the money s/he receives into:

• amount to be saved

• amount to be spent

• amount to be donated

Benefits for your child:

• teaches the value of “waiting” to spend your money until it is really needed

• gives the fun experience of making immediate spending decisions

• teaches the value of helping others
