Art and Decision-Making

Monday’s Parenting Thought

61 Sidebar 1

When children do art (drawing, painting, sculpting, music, dance, acting, sewing, cooking, etc.), they have to think for themselves.

One stroke a picture does not make. One note a song does not make. They require decision after decision.

Let your child practice being a “good chooser.” Let him or her do art this week.

Inspired by the picture book, MORRIS THE ARTIST.
