What Children Learn from Your Love

Monday’s Parenting Thought
When you care for children in warm, comforting ways, they learn that they deserve to be loved no matter what they can do or cannot do and no matter how well they can do things.
When you teach children skills and values, they learn that they are capable of doing the things necessary to get along in the world.
When children are loved in both of these ways, they learn that
  1. They are loved just because they deserve it
  2. They know how to do many things well all by themselves
  3. They are good thinkers who can become independent.
