REMINDER: SOMETHING NEW IS COMING

Our blog will be expanding its content in three new ways this summer.
Each  Monday … (Starting June 6)
We will post PICTURE BOOK CLUB to help parents, teachers, and caregivers read to their young children over the summer.
Each week the focus will be on two books available at libraries and local and online bookstores. Because there is a lot to learn about children through picture book stories, the posting will include:
  • “What Adults Can Learn from This Story” – important information about your child that each story can remind you of.
  • “Make This Story Come Alive for Your Child” – activities for you to do with your child that connect to each story.
See Complete List of Books for Picture Book Club. You can use it to arrange to  have the books on hand for each week.
Each Tuesday … (Starting June 7)
We will post ADULT LIFE DECISIONS.These posts will focus on the adults in the lives of children because children deserve caring, healthy adults taking care of them. It is designed to help adults become more aware of their own potential as they strive to make the best lives possible for themselves and their children. Each posting will explore the many life decisions adults are faced with and how they can update their life decisions to be sure they are ones helpful to them in their current life circumstances.
Each Wednesday … (Starting June 8)
We will post SUMMER ACTIVITIES to offer parents, teachers, and caregivers things to do with
children that can lead to moments of quality time for adults and kids.
Quality time happens when we least expect it, often around the smallest and least expensive events.  You can’t schedule it. It doesn’t take a lot of time. Instead, it takes a lot of small moments. Be prepared to be surprised by many “magical” moments while doing our summer activities.  If you fully tune into your child, you and your child can make an amazing connection.
