1.The Sky’s the Limit. Go outside, lie on a blanket, and watch how the clouds change. Take turns pointing out a cloud and what shape you think it makes (dog, boat, worm, caterpillar, airplane, etc.). Let your imagination fly. Watch the cloud for a few minutes and tell what shape you think it has changed into.
creating a loop. Take another paper strip, thread it through the first loop, and attach its ends together creating a second loop. Repeat until there is a loop for each day your child wants to countdown – days until a vacation, holiday, a friend returns, etc. While the paper strips are still flat, you and your child can decorate one side which will become the inside of the loop. You can draw pictures or write messages. Every day let your child cut a loop off and be surprised to see what picture or message is inside. The chain will gat shorter and shorter as the awaited event grow closer until there is no more chain and the waiting is over.
A countdown idea is so fun!! I will have to think of that for upcoming fun adventures planned 🙂
Let me know how you use it and how it works!
