Seven Things We Can Learn from Chores

Monday’s Parenting Thought
  1. Chores help children know what they are good at.
  2. Chores teach responsibility.
  3. Chores are a way to be sure adults are not doing for children what they can do for themselves.
  4. Chores teach children what they need to know in order to become more and more independent.
  5. Chores help children know what it means to meet high expectations – to do a job well.
  6. Chores help children learn from their mistakes.
  7. Chores help children learn that it’s OK to do things as many times as they need to in order to learn how to do it well.
