What to Tell Your Children

Find a way to tell your children one of these things each and every day, especially while they are toddlers, in early elementary school, and starting high school. Put the messages in your own words. Sometimes, use actions instead of words – like spending time, smiling, hugging.
  1. I enjoy you and want to be with you.
  2. I enjoy you when you are just quietly being you.
  3. I enjoy you just as much when you are busy and into everything.
  4. I love to watch you grow and learn to do new things, including how to follow rules.
(Messages adapted from GROWING UP AGAIN, Jean Illsley Clarke and Connie Dawson)
I would love to hear the ways you find to give these messages. Use the comment section below to share with all our readers.
